Blessings and Encouragements

What are you thankful for today?

Right now, I’m thankful for a week away on holiday at the seaside.

I’m so thankful that the Lord has provided a place I can stay by the sea. It’s such a blessing!

It was lovely to spend time just being: walking by the sea, enjoying the beauty of nature, reading books, spending time with the Lord and just being a tourist!

While I was there, I think these are some things the Lord was encouraging me with:

He really is just with me. Even when I’m not perfectly performing. Even when I forget Him. I am His through Christ (and you can be too- you can find out more here), and (although I know it’s important to be obedient) my relationship with Him does not depend on my performance! I tried to enjoy being with Him through the week, and then got frustrated when I forgot Him, and things didn’t go perfectly. But then I sensed His encouragement that He is just there, surrounding me with His loving presence. And I can just receive and enjoy it!

It really is all right. As a child of God through Christ (you can find out more here), I can be confident that, for those who belong to Him, it’s all in hand. Even for the things I can’t see yet, He has gone ahead. He really does have a plan. I really don’t need to worry.

I can be confident in Him. He has made me His child. He will give me all I need to do what He has called me to do. I can step forward with confidence, looking to Him for all I need.

I’m thankful for a week at the sea. I’m thankful for the beauty of this world God has made. And I’m thankful for His love, His presence and His promises.
