Thank you for listening to these songs!
Before you listen, can I share something with you? I have prayed for you. My prayer for you as you listen to these songs is that you will meet with the One Who helped me to write them: the One Who loves so amazingly that He gave His one and only Son so that all who come to Him for His free forgiveness, surrendering to follow Him as Lord… can be forgiven, be rescued from the eternal judgement we all deserve and have the hope of eternal life.
I pray that you will find the place of victory… the place where chains fall… where you find the arms of your Heavenly Father: at the cross of Jesus Christ.
May you meet Him at the cross, where everything changes as you become enveloped in His love and grace and He lifts you up and makes you a child of God.
From that place, may we all live, sensing His song of joy over us as we live to know Him and make Him known. I pray that these songs will draw you closer to Him. May all the glory be His.

Here is Love
(lyrics: Caroline Abblitt, Jennifer Petrie, Wendy Green)
Here is where life starts.
Here is where it all begins.
This was the moment when God gave His life
And people are born forever.
Here you kneel in your stains.
Here is the end of pretense.
Here rebels fall dressed in tatters and rags
And they rise as white as snow.
As they find…
This is the place of victory.
This is where chains fall.
Here, in the weakness of wood and nails,
Here is the heart of it all.
This was the moment God took the shame
As love willingly bore the cost.
Here are the arms of your Father.
Here is love at the cross.
Here is where things change.
Here is where you start again.
Here you fall at the end of yourself.
He lifts you up; makes you a child of God.
As you find…
Bridge
Won’t you come and kneel?
Come bow down.
Come and surrender.
Come and adore.
Come find hope.
Come find life.
Come find forgiveness.
Come find Christ (your life)
As you find…
Come and Tell Me
For the little girl I met in a market in the Philippines, who was trying to sell me carrier bags.
Written by Caroline Abblitt
She was walking the streets when I saw her,
Holding carrier bags in her hands,
Searching and pleading for someone to buy her wares
And I guess bleeding from all the hurt deep inside
And she spoke to me with this sweet, pleading tone,
Asking me to buy so she could eat
And I don’t know what she told me. I don’t speak her tongue,
But she told me by the hunger in her eyes.
I can’t cry in your ear.
I can’t scream so you can hear.
I can’t tell you how much I’m hurting.
I can’t tell you of the hunger deep within
But hear my cry in the night
As it reaches you in your nice life:
Come and tell me
Come and tell me
About your God.
And they’re passing through this world in darkness,
Carrying their guilt upon their backs,
All ready and waiting to plunge right into Hell
With nobody to tell them the way out.
And, if none of us will tell them, then they will never know,
Cos messages can’t get there by themselves.
Can you listen in the darkness?
Can you hear the waiting world?
Cos still they don’t know
That Jesus saves…
Satisfied
Written by Caroline Abblitt
Father, Creator of all,
The sky shouts loud of Your glory so bright
So powerful, so holy,
You reign in radiant light.
And I know that You knit me together
By Your Spirit, You gave me life.
You love me so tenderly.
In You I am satisfied.
Yes, my heart is satisfied.
Chorus
And in Jesus Christ is my life.
My hope is in You.
My joy is in You.
And in Jesus Christ is my life
And my heart is satisfied.
Jesus, You hung on a cross,
Your blood poured out for guilt that was mine.
My slate washed clean, forgiven,
Because of Jesus Christ.
And I know that You are my salvation.
With Your blood, You saved my life
Jesus, You are everything:
My Saviour Who satisfies,
Yes, my heart is satisfied.
All I am is Yours now:
Your Kingdom first. I’ve been bought with a price.
Lord, this is my surrender.
For me to live is Christ.
And I know that I am Yours. You’ve called me
To reach out, to lay down my life.
To tell the lost of Jesus:
To tell them of hope in Christ,
And Your Name will be glorified.
You’re there to help me through.
You carry me through storms, through the fire
You lead me through the valley. You’re always by my side.
And I know that I am Yours forever,
My one Hope, my Treasure, my Prize.
You’ll be my joy in Heaven,
My Saviour Who satisfies.
Eternally satisfied.
Song of Joy
Written by Caroline Abblitt
(An attempt to echo the Father’s song).
Zephaniah 3:17 talks about the Father singing over His forgiven children. This my attempt to echo something of that song.
You’re My beloved,
Apple of My eye,
My treasured possession,
Precious in My sight
And you are Mine,
My delight.
I sing over you.
I sing over you.
I sing over you, My child.
I sing over you.
I sing over you.
I sing over you
A song of joy.
I’ll never leave you,
No, never forsake.
I’ll be your shelter
For each hour, each day.
I’ll be with you.
I’ll be for you.
I sing over you…
Arise, My beloved.
You’re precious to Me.
Come rest in My presence.
Come walk close to Me.
For I love you
And My love is true.
I sing over you…
Turn the Tide
Written by Caroline Abblitt
A pray for the UK
Mighty Father in Heaven,
You reign in awesome heights
And we bow down, confess before you
That we have fallen in Your sight.
But, Father, You delight in mercy.
Your heart is kind. You offer grace.
You have shown us great compassion.
You’ve reached out. We’ve turned away.
We have spurned Your heart of mercy.
Loved our idols; scorned Your Name.
We have broken faith with heaven,
Wasted days and trampled grace
But to You belongs great mercy.
Forgive us we pray.
Let Your rainclouds burst in mercy.
Lift upon us now Your face.
As we cry to You…
Chorus
Turn the tide in this nation, Lord.
Turn hearts around.
Send Your rains down from the Heavens above.
Like waves, let millions come.
Lord awaken this great nation again.
Father, revive.
God, have mercy on Great Britain.
Father, turn the tide.
Mighty warriors went before us:
Ran with vision to the lost.
Brought the good news to far places,
Gave their heart’s blood and their lives.
And will we, their prayed for children,
Fail to wave the banner high?
Fall before the waiting billions?
Never bring the word of life?
As we cry to You…
Break our hearts with tears so tender
Let us call upon Your Name
Let us weep for time we’ve wasted.
Melt us, mould us by Your grace.
Reignite our hearts with passion
Burn afresh Your word of life
Give us wings to bring the message
To those still waiting for the light.
As we cry to You…
Break our hearts
Break our hearts, Lord…
Let Them Live
Written by Caroline Abblitt
Over 2 billion people still wait to hear the Name of Jesus even once. This is a prayer for them.
We pray for the nations, Lord
We pray for those who have not heard:
For the billions who haven’t heard of Jesus
Oh, Lord, we lift them to You
Billions are waiting
The moments speeding
The nations need to hear
Chorus
Send Your labourers out into the harvest
Send Your workers to bring in the sheaves
God of mercy, God of compassion
Oh, Lord, let them live
Send the message out into the darkness
Send the Good News far across the seas
God of mercy, God of compassion
Oh, Lord, please let them live.
2. We pray for the nations, Lord
We pray for those who need the light
For the young and old
For every tribe and people still waiting in the night
Billions are waiting
The moments speeding
The nations need to hear.
Bridge
Though it cost us dear,
Through our blood and tears,
Even if it costs our lives,
Still they need to hear.
So send Your labourers…
Always Family
(Caroline Abblitt, Jennifer Petrie)
It is not good for man to be alone,
So He made us as one.
Each with our place, making the whole,
Joined by Christ’s blood
In our Father’s love.
And we know that…
Chorus
We are a family.
We’ll always be
Running this race together,
Wherever we may be.
Distance can’t part us ‘cos
We’re joined by Jesus.
We’re running Homewards.
We’re always family.
This road is hard
And we are far from home,
But we are not alone.
Each of us belongs.
We’re called to be one.
And loved by God.
We are so loved.
So don’t lose heart
When He calls us apart.
It’s not the end. It’s just the start
And we’re nearly Home,
So we press on.
For we know that…
Bridge
We live together
We’re joined together by God.
We’ll keep the faith,
No matter where we are.
Standing together, all over the world
Looking above
To our Father’s love,
For we know that…
We’re running Homewards,
Standing together, all over the world
We’re always family.
All in All
Written by Caroline Abblitt
Lord, the battle is raging
And my courage fading
But You said that You’d be with me
And I know You’re faithful
And I know You’re able
So I choose to trust You, Lord.
Father, You’re with me
Father, You’re for me
As I walk through this trial,
Lead me through the fire
For You said the flames won’t touch me
I can walk through this Red Sea
And I’ll know Your victory
For I choose to trust You, Lord.
Cos You’re here and…
Lord, through the storm
I find Your loving arms.
Father, You hold me close
As You make my heart whole.
You’re a faithful Father.
You’re Enough. Lord, You’re All in All.
Lord, You told me You’re with me
You told me You’re for me
So I won’t be afraid or dismayed
You hold me. You carry
Me through the valley
So I choose to trust You, Lord.
As I go through this valley,
You still can use me
I will serve as I sow through tears of pain
For there will be a harvest
Your Kingdom advances
And I choose to trust You Lord.
In You, my future is awesome.
You’ll lead me to Heaven
Where You’ll wipe all my tears
Away from me.
Your plans are amazing.
My hope is unfading
So I choose to trust You, Lord.
Go Labour On
lyrics adapted from Horatius Bonar, public domain
Go, labour on: spend, and be spent,
Your joy to do the Father’s will:
It is the way the Master went;
Shouldn’t the servant tread it still?
Go, labour on! It means so much.
Your earthly loss is heavenly gain;
Men may reject you, but you are loved
And all that matters is what God says.
Go, labour on! It is enough
If he shall praise you, if He bless:
He sees it all. It’s worth the cost.
No work for Him will you regret.
Go, labour on! Your hands are weak,
your knees are faint, your soul cast down,
But don’t give up; the prize you seek
is near: a kingdom and a crown.
Go, labour on while it is day:
The world’s dark night is hastening on;
Keep up your work. No, don’t delay.
That’s not the way that souls are won.
Men die in darkness at your side,
without a hope to cheer the tomb;
Take up the torch and wave it wide-
The torch that lights time’s thickest gloom.
Bridge (x2)
Keep the faith every day.
He’s worth it all.
Jesus saves. Glory waits.
Go labour on.
Work on. Don’t faint. Keep watch and pray.
Pour out your life, lost ones to win.
Go out into the world’s highway.
Compel the wanderer to come in.
Work on, and in your work rejoice!
For work comes rest. You’re nearly home.
Soon you will hear the Bridegroom’s voice,
the midnight cry, “Behold, I come!”
