Do you Long to Know a Love That Won’t Let You Down?

Do you long to know a love that won’t let you down? Do you long to be secure in loving arms, knowing you have found Someone Who will always be there for you?

The more I grow as a Christian, the more I realise that the answer is God and His love, and that there is always more available: more of His love… His presence… His goodness for all who surrender to Him as Lord, believing in Jesus for forgiveness and choosing to follow Him.

As a child of God in Christ, I’m finding that His love is an endless ocean, offering comfort, mercy and peace beyond my wildest dreams.

And yes, I know that the way to knowing Him and His love, and the eternal hope He offers, means surrender, and doing things His way. But I’ve learned that it’s worth it, because He knows best, He loves us and His love is the only thing that truly satisfies in the end.

Whoever you are and whatever you are facing, I believe His love is saying ‘Come’.

Your Love Says ‘Come’

There’s no-one more tender than You, Father.
You’re the God of all comfort, and no arms are stronger.
Your heart is throbbing with such love.
Father, I hear Your love say, ‘Come’.

You’re here when we grieve. You are calling.
You wait with arms that ache when we’re hurting.
With mercy Father, You’re yearning,
And In Your arms, Father our hearts find home.

There’s love all around, all around, all around me.
Loving arms draw me close. They surround me.

Your Father heart’s inviting.
Here at the cross You’re waiting
To wash us, enfold us close to Your heart.
Father, with such compassion,
Father, with open arms,
You call us home.
Father, Your love says, ‘Come’.

So Lord, to Your love I’m surrendering
To Your way of healing, forgiveness, believing.
Here and now from all wrong I am turning,
Cos at the cross I find my heart’s way home.

All around, mercy flows. I’m washed by waves of grace.
As far as east is from the west, You take my stains away.

Your Father heart’s inviting.
Here at the cross You’re waiting
To wash us, enfold us close to Your heart.
Father, with such compassion,
Father, with open arms,
You call us home.
Father, Your love says, ‘Come’.

On the horizon faith can see
Your arms waiting for me.
I live for that day. Tears wiped away,
Washed in love so sweet.

Your Father heart is calling.
There in our Home You’re yearning
To hold me enfold me
For eternity.
You’ll comfort with such compassion,
There in Your waiting arms.
Soon I’ll be home
Oh, Lord Jesus come!

And in Your arms my Father,
I’ve found my greatest treasure.
All I have ached for and longed for
Is found in Your Love.
You give the living water.
You are where I belong.
So, Father, I come.
Father, Your arms are home.
