Do you ache with the pain of this hurting world? Do you long for something more? Do you long for comfort, and rest, and loving arms?

Below I tried to capture the something of Lord’s invitation to come to Him, however we are, and find His comfort, forgiveness and peace (you can find out more about how to know Him and find that eternal hope here), and glimpses of the comfort and hope we can have when we do know Him and have been forgiven by Him. My words aren’t Scripture (just my words), but I tried to base them around words and encouragements from Scripture. I pray they help you today.
Come, all you so weary,
And burdened by life’s cares,
Wearing life so heavy
And sprinkled with your tears.
There is a rest found in My Arms.
For, child, I hold it all.
Surrender now your weary head.
Find peace that’s eternal.
Come. You know you’re guilty.
The weight will drag you down.
The fear of future judgement,
Haunts you even now.
But there is sweet forgiveness;
Such mercy to be found!
Just come, and let Me wash you.
In surrender, peace abounds.
Come, weary, worn down traveller
Made tearful by the miles
You’ve walked and stumbled, fought still on,
But wounded by the trials.
There is refreshment in My touch.
I’m here. I share it all.
And joy, and balm of Gilead
With new life from the Well.
Cease drinking at the cisterns
That cannot quench or fill
And come instead to My fount deep.
Your heart will heal and thrill.
I made you for One Lover,
And I alone give joy.
Oh, come, as My bride beloved!
I long to hear your voice.
Bring burdens, bring your worries.
Bring every weighing care
And lay them down in Love’s strong Arms
And rest. And leave them there.
Then rise, and sing, and laugh awhile.
There’s rest within My arms.
In Me, you can rejoice! Again!
For I am love’s strong Balm.
Oh, come! The birds are singing!
My love, now come away.
Arise and drink. Come, love, to Me.
Let’s share the bright, new day.
Let life just be the twining
Of My strong Arms with yours
Oh, let us walk still closer
Til Love’s sweet wedding dawns.
