Is there something that you particularly love about the Lord?
There are many things I love about Him, and I don’t know if I can really have a favourite thing, but honestly, I just love the Lord’s gentleness.

We live in a world of harshness. Of speed. Of pushing forward; rushing on. A world of cruelty, and cut-throat social media comments, and heartache.
But the more I get to know the Lord, the more I marvel at His kindness, and His gentleness with me as His child. Yes, I believe that He most definitely is a righteousness Judge, and a holy, consuming fire, and we absolutely need to be ready to meet Him by getting right with Him through faith in Christ (you can find out more here).
But I know that He is so loving that He gave His Son for me (and for you, if you’ll surrender, believe, receive and follow Him). And He amazes me with His gentleness.
I love how the Lord treasures His little ones. How He values those others may overlook. How I am never too much trouble for Him. How He sees my heart, and He never misunderstands. How He delights in the feeble efforts of His children when our hearts are seeking to please Him. How He understands; how He cares.
Sure, I know He is firm about sin, because He is a good Judge, and He is holy, and He hates the sin that does so much harm.
But I’m learning that He is so caring; so kind. That He shares in our sorrows, and our suffering.
I love that, when others may be impatiently rushing ahead, He is there, so patiently waiting, taking me at just the pace I can handle.
I love that He counts our tears, even those others don’t see. Even for the little things that no-one else would think is important.
It amazes me that He is there, so loving, so kind, waiting to forgive, to counsel, to comfort and to heal our hearts. So gentle. So loving. So good. Stunning me with His amazing love.
What do you need to bring to Him today?
