Impossible? Jesus Can

Ever been up against something impossible? Something that no-one else seems able to fix? Something that it seems like can never change?

Life can feel like that sometimes.

On days when I struggle with OCD and anxiety, it can feel a bit like that sometimes.

But the Lord has been encouraging me with this:

“Now He arose from the synagogue and entered Simon’s house. But Simon’s wife’s mother was sick with a high fever, and they made request of Him concerning her. So He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. And immediately she arose and served them.” Luke 4:38-39

Jesus healed her. Fully. Completely. He didn’t miss anything. And He left her so well that she could do what she was called to do.

When it feels impossible, I don’t need to find the answers.

I can cry out to Jesus.

Jesus can, even when I can’t.

Jesus is encouraging me that He can help with anything.

He reminds me that He can heal anything, and He can do anything.

Even when it feels impossible. Even though it feels tangled, and intricate, and messy. Even when it’s painful, and confusing, and far too big.

He reminds me that it’s not too big for Him.

He reminds me that He can bring forgiveness to sins, healing to wounds, and freedom from oppression.

That He can bring counsel to questions. Peace to confusion. Comfort to the hurting.

That He can speak the storm to peace.

He just tells me to ask. To come to Him. To believe.

The answers are up to Him.

Impossible is not impossible for Jesus.
