Do you ever feel tossed about from one thing to another, to busy to stop and think and feeling quite overwhelmed and anxious?
Yep, that can be me some of the time, pushing myself hard, a bit worn out, and anxious. I wonder if it’s you, too.
Here are some thoughts that may help:

- One thing at a time in God’s strength! I used to say it often, when I was younger (as far as I know, it’s something I didn’t quote from someone else!). But I guess I’ve forgotten it these days. Just to do what is right in front of me, leaning on God’s strength, and not letting my mind rush off in ten thousand different directions at once.
- Seeking His Kingdom first. And letting GOD worry (well, He doesn’t need to!) about my needs. Because He PROMISED to provide (Matt 6:33). And He told me to cast my cares on Him and not to worry.
‘”But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”‘ Matthew 6:33
3. Smaller, doable goals! A counsellor once pointed it out to me: I often seem to feel overwhelmed, and I’m trying to do an awful lot! Set a smaller list of things to aim for in a day! Don’t set myself up to fail because my list of goals is way too big for one little day!
4. Not worrying about tomorrow!! How much of what is spinning in my head is anxiety about tomorrow?! If I actually lived this, it would change my life! The Lord knew what He was talking about when He gave us that command! His grace will be there tomorrow when I get there!
‘”Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”‘ Matthew 6:34
5. Allow myself time to breathe! Journalling and brainstorming really help, too!
6. Getting out of my head and talking to others, caring about them and speaking words of encouragement.
7. A walk in nature! Even a few minutes helps!
8. To quote a good friend, prioritise!! What do I really need to do today? And what actually probably could wait?
9. To quote my good friend again, it makes you feel good when you have a small, manageable goal you actually achieve! Something tiny, and possible.
10. A good night’s sleep!
Those are Today’s Ten Tips (in no particular order)! Hope they help you too! 🙂
